VIP business tour on the sidelines of Pollutec Horizons 2013
On 3, 4 and 5 December, the Paris Region Economic Development Agency and its partners Reed Expositions, SMD, CG92 and CG93, had the pleasure of offering tours of the technical sites in the Paris region to more than 130 visitors of the Pollutec fair.
The focus of the 2013 edition was technology in the Paris region for these eco-business professionals from Korea, Spain, Canada, Brazil and Argentina tasked with identifying new business opportunities at the Pollutec fair. They were able to enjoy the following:
- A visit of the Marne-Aval treatment plant, a state-of-the- art facility located in Noisy-le-Grand, Seine-Saint-Denis. This visit highlighted the renovations to treatment plants with a view to integration within the city and respect of the environment (compactness in order to free up lands for housing, self-production of photovoltaic electricity, etc.)
- The guided tour of the Fort d'Issy smart-grid eco-district in Hauts-de-Seine, which demonstrated the major principles of the French Sustainable City. During this visit in the heart of the eco-district, visitors were welcomed by the Mayor of Issy-les-Moulineaux, as well as four major companies which took part in the project: Bouygues Immobilier, Envac (waste collection), Dalkia (geothermal energy)et Burgeap (decontamination control).
- A visit of Yprema, a shining example of construction waste treatment technologies located in la Cité Descartes, Seine-et-Marne, where visitors discovered the energy-plus building Coriolis, the Mopeasy and Echy start-ups as well as the major research facility, Vulcain, located within the Scientific and Technical Centre for Building (CSTB) Centre Scientifique et Technique du Bâtiment.
