Webinar - "Energy Efficiency Renovations in France"

4:OOpm
Online Paris

The building sector is one of the four highest emitting sectors in France; it is responsible for 18% of the territorial greenhouse gas emissions and 40% of the final energy consumption.

The road to carbon neutrality for this sector cannot be completed without the integration of energy renovation of buildings.

In order to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, the French Building Renovation Plan sets a target of 500,000 energy efficient home renovations per year in France. To kick-start development, the French government has put energy efficiency renovation at the heart of its recovery plan, dedicating 6.7 billion euros to the renovation of public, private, and social housing buildings.

The residential sector accounts for two-thirds of the energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions from buildings. More than 20 million homes are to be renovated by 2050, which represents a potential market of 14 billion euros of work per year until 2050!

The tertiary sector has nearly 850 million m2 of heated or air-conditioned surfaces. The goal is to reduce energy consumption in this sector by 60% by 2050, compared to 2010.
