Discovering the latest scientific breakthroughs, meeting those who push the boundaries of knowledge, debating the dizzying perspectives opened up by innovation, but also understanding how to support research so that its advances truly benefit the greatest number: this is the founding promise of the Paris-Saclay Summit.
At the heart of one of the world’s most vibrant scientific clusters, all disciplines are brought together. From artificial intelligence to health, from the environmental emergency to the mysteries of the Universe, fundamental research intersects with the most concrete industrial innovations. In just three years, this free event, open to all, has established itself as the essential rallying point for all enthusiasts: researchers, economic and political decision-makers, students, and curious citizens meet here, united by the same thirst for understanding and debate.
In 2026, the summit takes on a new strategic dimension. At a time when anti-science rhetoric attempts to weaken reason, it is urgent to enrich the debate surrounding the Horizon Europe 2028-2034 program. The stakes are vital: defining the resources and ambitions of the 27 Member States to reaffirm Europe’s position on the global geopolitical stage.
This commitment to the future is also led by example. Since its inception, the event has been dedicated to highlighting women who have chosen scientific careers, transforming their paths into role models to inspire younger generations. Because knowledge knows no borders. Bringing it within reach of the many, imagining new collaborations between the academic world, public research, and the private sector, and collectively thinking through the innovations of tomorrow: this is the full ambition of the Paris-Saclay Summit.
