Combine Environmental Excellence with R&D to Design a Sustainable City

16 February 2021, EPA Paris-Saclay signed an agreement with the CNRS aimed at recovering waste heat produced by the Jean Zay supercomputer, in the IDRIS CNRS building, using the latest water cooling technology. The recovered energy will be used to heat several buildings in the urban Campus. The ambition of EPA Paris-Saclay is to make the area a centre for innovative environmental excellence, that both saves energy and makes the most of local and renewable energy sources.
